Fundations - Unit 6

Unit 6 (3 weeks)

Baseword and Suffix -s

Students will be introduced to the concept of a baseword and suffix in a very simple way, with just the suffix -s. Sometimes the suffix -s is added to a word and says /s/ as in the word "shops" or it sometimes says /z/ as in the word "bugs. "

We will also introduce the concept of plural words.
